Exciting New Lights

Not really realizing that the light fixture which I just hung in his Sister's room

hangs way too low, Little Man was super excited that her new light hangs so low that he "can see over it." He's going to be disappointed tomorrow when I shorten the cord and chain to make it hang closer to the ceiling.

HATE'n THE SIGNS...

MY FRIENDS AND I HAVE A FRIENDS WHOSE HOUSE IS LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF TWO STREETS SO HIS NEIGHBORS ARE ALWAYS PUTTING SIGNS IN THE CORNER OF HIS YARD. SIGNS OF ALL KINDS IT DOESN'T MATTER, WHETHER IT BE A GARAGE SALE ADVERTISEMENT WITH DIRECTIONS, OR A LOST PET, YOU NAME IT IT'S BEEN IN HIS YARD. HE REALLY HATES TO SEE THEM IN THE MORNING WHEN HE WAKES UP, SO NATURALLY MY FRIENDS AND I HAD TO PUT SIGNS IN HIS YARD THIS WEEK. DAY 1 THE SIGN SAID "LOST CAT" (WITH A PICTURE OF A CAT.) DAY 2 THE SIGN SAID "MISSING CAT: (WITH A DIFFERENT PICTURE OF WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE SAME CAT.) DAY 3 THE SIGN SAID "LOST SIGNS" (WITH A PICTURE OF OUR FIRST TWO SIGNS,) AND READS AT THE BOTTOM, "LAST SEEN RIGHT HERE."

Half Dollars

And these are just the ones that I have loose. I have a bunch of ones from 2001 (the year Madison was born) but I have none from 1999 or 2005 (Alivia and Michael's birth years.) I want to get a good looking Half Dollar coin from each of their birth year to give to them.

1776 - 1976

Look at what I got in the mail today. I was born in June of 1976, (and blessed in Church on July 4th of 1976,) so this kind of stuff has always been fun for me.

MILITARY 'COINS'

I deliver to a few Military Units, (mostly from the Army National Gaurd but there are a few from other Branches of the Military as well,) on my route. As soon as I found out that each Unit has their own Coin I started asking for them. Here are the ones I have so far.

The 1249th Coin was pretty cool to get because they are getting ready to leave for Afghanistan in just a Couple of months and will be gone for a little over a year.

I now have a Giant 42" Y hanging on my wall in my house. Looks AWESOME. My sister and her husband make these and they gave this to Sarah for her Birthday yesterday. Check out my talented sister's design blog. Laura Rae Designs

Sarah's Birthday Cake

I just got done making Sarah's Birthday Cake. I'm not a Pro so it doesn't look the best but I'm sure it's going to taste Great.

Our New Addition

Let me introduce you to our new addition to the family. After three summers without him, Mr. A/C has joined us today ready and willing to keep our house cool during the summer.

My Quarter Book

Well, I finished my quarter book. In 1999, the year my oldest was born, the U.S. Mint started doing the Statehood quarters. One quarter for each State. I used to go down every four months to get the new quarter but I kinda slacked towards the end. The set finished in 2008 but I just today (2010) picked up my last eight quarters.Last year they did six quarters for each Territory, (so I bought those also,) and this year the Mint is starting a new fifty State quarter set where each State Quarter will have a State Park on the back. (I'm debating if I want to start that set or not.)

Oh How It Kills Me To Love This Stuff

I'm in the process of trying to break my addiction to Mountain Dew. I get headaches without it. I used to drink well over two liters a day and for the past week I've forced myself to drink no more than one or two glasses a day. My goal is to be completely off of it by next week or so. Wish me luck.
